Park Methodist Church, Jarrow. Corner Sussex Street & Bede Burn Road, looking West. Put up for sale in Feb 2013 and bought by Jarrow Auction House. The church closed after more than 120 years of worship and was on the market for £150,000. The closure was the result of a declining congregation and escalating maintenance costs. Park Methodist Church members then merged with Monkton Methodist Church to form Monkton Park Methodist Church, based in Wood Terrace, Jarrow.
