Today‘s view of the COLQUHOUN grave location from the TJ Doyle Memorial Drive. The graves are still there, but the tall monuments (including the COLQUHOUNs’) have been removed . The monuments must have been considered a danger? The sandstone sidings and metal enclosures have been removed, allowing the grass to grow right up to the graves. The stone sidings and bases of the monuments were used in retaining walls.
Trees have been planted, all of the above part of the Council's 1975 plan for a "Lawn Cemetery".
Note the Eleanor Schonell Bridge at the bottom of the hill, just past the graves.
Compare with the #17 and #20 images.
