1960 Aerial Views of Palmer's Shipyard Engineering Shed. Note the 4 connected shops, which make up this shed… eg erecting shop,fitting shop etc. Each shop has an individual roofline. Compare these aerial views with the earlier image #41 of the 1930 map… note (i) the demolition of houses south of the engineering shed, with only the "Forresters Arms Hotel" remaining opposite Palmers entrance way; (ii) the demolition of Palmer's buildings east of Palmer's entrance, now occupied by the new Lennig's Chemical Works.
