Archibald COLQUHOUN lived next to George Henry BLOCKSIDGE (d.1944), in Vulture St, from 1913 to 1919. George built ‘Quambathella’, a magnificent Queenslander home, in the early 1900's at 598 Vulture St, sold in 2016 for $2.8 million! George was the founder of Blocksidge Real Estate in 1874, which continues to the present day. The satellite view showed that he bought up the adjoining allotments 594, 596 and 600, consolidating to a one acre block. Suggestion 1): Archibald's home at 596 acquired in 1925 and subsequently demolished following Archibald’s widow Frances’ death? Suggestion 2): Next door at #592 (another grand Queenslander) was Archibalds' house and George had incorporated the adjoining allotments 594, 596 and 600 when Archibald still lived there. #592 was owned around the time of George's death by Valerie Emilie Marianne Rüthning (d.1949), sister of A.F.T. Rüthning, solicitor, director of Feez Rüthning, Solicitors.
